Get your tickets for the RFU's GRAND PRIZE DRAW

There are only a few days left to get hold of your entry tickets for the RFU's GRAND PRIZE DRAW.

Here's are three reasons why you should buy some tickets today:

1. The prizes are amazing (list here)
2. Someone from our club won a fab prize last year
3. The club gets to keep a whopping 90% of the money ourselves so that you can play the best game in the world.

You can use the form below to BUY TICKETS NOW via PayPal and Karen will post the ticket stubs out to you free of charge to your registered PayPal address.

NOTE - LAST DAY FOR SALES WAS 11TH MARCH 2014

Clubhouse opening, games and important notices (w/c 24/2)

All,
Two games on the cards this weekend, we have:
1sts @ Stanford Le Hope - KO 2.30pm
2nds v  Upminster @ Millwall Park - KO 2.00pm

Wednesday - Wiggy Wednesday - Open from 7.30pm
What better way to help you break the back of the week than spending it with Wiggy in the clubhouse? Wiggy has very kindly stepped in to cover one of our injured Duty Managers. For those of you who are training, Wiggy will be taking orders for curry to be delivered at 9pm if anyone is interested.

Friday - Karen's Weekend Warmup - Open from 7.30pm
Karen is your host for this Friday night who will be there to help you see in the weekend in style. Karen has also very kindly stepped in to cover another one of our injured Duty Managers. Please note if the club is quiet then it may close early.

Saturday - Clubhouse HOPEFULLY open from 3.30pm
We are currently looking for a trained Duty Manager to cover this Saturdays opening for one of our injured DMs after the 2nds Match. If you are trained and able to open/close the club this Saturday you would really be helping your club out.

Good news - we can even supply you with a Deputy/trainee DM to help you out - Miss Lucie Broad ;-), but please don't break her as well.

PLEA FOR DUTY MANAGERS

As you can see, we are really short of DMs at the moment (partly as they keep injuring themselves, and the injuries aren't even rugby related!!). Please email Ryan if you want to help your club stay open and train to be a DM - Ryan will be running further DM training night/master class over the coming weeks (date to be announced).

RFU GRAND DRAW REMINDER
If you have raffle tickets to sell, please get the stubs and money back to Karen this week! She will be at the club Wednesday, Friday and Saturday (if it's open). If you think you can sell more tickets in the next few days, please collect from Karen Wednesday night and ensure the stubs and money get back on Saturday!

Also if you want to buy tickets, but can't get down, let Karen know by emailing her here with your full name & phone number (for the ticket) and your address if you want me to post your ticket to you and then pay for it on paypal before Sunday.

Last year Millwall had a club member win a great prize, so it goes to show that you've gotta be in it to win it.

Remember that you'll have until Sunday to add your opinion and its very important as these are your sessions. After that we'll discuss with the Committee and Coaches and start changing things. It might also be useful to have a player's meeting and review the outcomes

Men's Training tonight CANCELLED

Evening all,

Following a pitch inspection and looking at the weather reports for later on this evening Men's training has been cancelled. We thought it would be better to call it now than have everyone turn up and it be off when they arrive.

The pitch and training area are currently covered in standing water and with half a season still to go it makes sense to protect what resources we have.

Both games this weekend are still to go ahead so email selection@millwallrugby.com with your availability if you haven't done so already.

Also, make sure to fill in the training and development survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/KXYH8KZ

Finally, there will be training on both Monday and Wednesday next week so make sure to come down.

Apologies for the inconvenience of training being cancelled.

Men's Player Development and Training Survey 2014

How do you want to develop as a player?

We're interested in knowing what you would like to get out of training especially on the under-used Monday nights so we've created a short survey. Its anonymous and should only take 5 mins to do

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/KXYH8KZ

This one is for Men's training and if there is the demand, we'll do one for the Women as well. Let us know by Sunday 16th and we'll publish the first set of results. When we're finished, we'll feed it back into Training.

Have your say, thanks.

Tim

Rain Rain Go Away.... Oh & Clubhouse Openings This Weekend

Hi All,

Well, if you are not yet aware the "Club Away Day" has been cancelled.  This is due to the ongoing bad weather conditions around the region.

But fear not, wipe those tears away, put away those tissues... (especially you Wiggy) as the Clubhouse will be open on Saturday to give you your fix of Six Nations Rugby...

Opening at 1PM we will be showing all both games scheduled for the day.  As per last weekend we will be closing early at 9PM.  We will also be continuing our Six Nations Offer, Pints of Guinness will be only £2 per pint from the first whistle of the first game until the final whistle of the evening fixture. (Saturday Only)

So make sure you come down for the games and show your support!

Thanks,

Ryan.

Clubhouse openings (w/c 3/2), games & 2 key social events!!

All,

After a weekend off last week we return with a couple of key fixtures:

1sts @ Burnham on Crouch
2nds @ Billericay (JAT Cup)

Wednesday - Karen's 'Hump' Day - DM KA open from 7.30PM
Yes you saw it here first - for 1 week only - Karen will be taking over the 'hump' day reins. So get yourself down and celebrate getting over the hump of the week.

Thursday - Thirst Thursday - Henry Addington Pub, Canary Wharf from 5.30pm
Ladies and Gentlemen, here it is - Thirst Thursdays session 3!

To celebrate the end of Dry January (in case some of you actually managed to do it), what else than having some drinks? We're back on Canary Wharf for that one, with an area booked at the Henry Addington from 5.30.

Wear Millwall shirts or colours if you can and we will have some flyers on the tables hopefully so we will recruit another mens and ladies team!!

Friday - Weekend Warmup - DM TBC - open from 7.30PM
Come along this Friday, and start your weekend off in style and prepare for the big club away day tomorrow...

Saturday - Club Away Day - Coach departs clubhouse @ 11am - All welcome
To return the favour to Burnham RFC, who was such a good fun last time they came down and played us, we are organising a trip down there, with 1st XV playing them that day.

The plan is to meet at the clubhouse, departure at 11am, KO being at 2pm
with a pub crawl planned for the way back.

We will hire a coach for the occasion (about 50 seats), so the more the merrier, feel free to let your friends, family, girlfriends, boyfriends & wives know!
It promises to be a cracking day out so if you fancy coming along to support drop Jo an email on socialsecretary@millwallrugby.com so that we can make sure to save you a seat.

A £10 participation will be gently asked to the non players to cover some of the costs (even Ryanair can't beat that!)

P.S. The Millwall clubhouse is planning to be closed that day so you have no excuse not to join the club outing.

Games this weekend and a Millwall jolly outing!

Afternoon Millwallians,

This weekend sees two Millwall sides take to the field with the 1st XV heading out to Burnham On Crouch and the 2nd XV playing at Billericay.

We have organised a supporters coach out to Burnham for what promises to be an entertaining game, with Burnham having come down from Essex 1 with us last year. The coach will be leaving at 11am with a pub crawl planned for the way back. It promises to be a cracking day out so if you fancy coming along to support drop Jo an email on socialsecretary@millwallrugby.com so that we can make sure to save you a seat.

Players - feel free to bring along wives/girlfriends/friends who fancy watching!

Cheers and see everyone at the weekend,

Cookie
