Tickets - Six Nations
With the Autumn Internationals fast approaching, everyone is of course wondering what will happen in the Six Nations. As ever the Club has access to tickets to the England internationals at Twickenham. We will also get access to the England away games but tickets are yet to have been released.
Below are the details of the games and how to apply for tickets.
1. England v France, 4th Feb 2017 (Priced at £96, £88, £79, £65, £41)
2. England v Scotland, 11th Mar 2017 (Priced at £86, £76, £66, £59, £41)
* The RFU now base pricing on the opposition hence the difference in ticket prices
As per the normal process, to apply for tickets please email the Club by the 18th November 2016 on
internationaltickets@millwallrugby.com with the following information:
· Which game(s) you would like to go to?
· How many tickets you would like?
· Your preferred price?
· Whether you are a volunteer and what you do?
In addition to the cost of the ticket the club will be charging an admin fee of £5 per tickets, payable at the time of purchase.
If your application is successful, you will receive an e-mail and a date by which tickets must be paid for. If you miss this date and do not contact me, the tickets will be reallocated. Members continue to request tickets and then either do not pay/fail to reply to any further e-mails – don’t be that person... This results in other members missing out and will result in you being blacklisted if no explanation is provided.
To get access to these tickets, you first need to make sure your club membership is paid and up to date. We are only allowed to let you purchase tickets if you have been a member for at least 2 weeks prior to purchase.
Lastly remember the tickets are for personal use, if you are caught selling them on to a ticket tout or on the internet the Club will get in trouble and may well have our ticket allocation reduced or removed.
Good Luck and hope to see you all soon.
Regards,
Shaf

Player Mobility, Physio clinic, Physio Student visit - Wednesday 24th
Player Mobility and Physio clinic - Wednesday 24th
Patrick, club Physio, will be running a session as a short part of training next week - Wednesday August 24th after which he will hold a clinic for anyone who wants him to see any niggles or ask for advice.
Player mobility
The player mobility session is designed to provide a set of movements you can perform independently to promote general joint and soft tissue health. These movements can be performed at home, in the dressing room or on the pitch and require no equipment. This is not a “workout” so can be performed before training sessions and games or on non-training nights during the week.Physio Clinic
Hopefully at this stage of the season, you are relatively injury free but we all know what rugby is like. If there is something you would like to have checked or get some advice, Patrick will be available , first come first served. He will have the treatment table.Physio Students Open Evening
Finally, we will have some visiting Physio students interested in helping with pitch side First Aid. Please say hello and make them feel welcome so they come and join us.
Thanks

New O2 Touch Ambassadors sought
I've decided to step down as the club's "O2 Touch Ambassador" and leave the role to someone else with some more time than I have at the moment.
Each O2 Touch club is supposed to have at least one "Ambassador", so we're looking for AT LEAST one person to do this (three would be ideal). Basically you need to manage social media communication (which is a core part of our obligation to O2 Touch).
You'll need to tell players when touch is happening, make sure organisers tell people if they cancel a session, respond to enquiries over social media and post regular selfies and playing shots on instagram, Twitter and the club's public Facebook page using the hashtag #o2touch.
Here's a link to the job description for the role that the O2 Touch office have sent through to me.
If you're interested, please let Matt Bovaird (chairman@millwallrugby.com) or me know, or comment below... whatever you prefer.
Best wishes
Andrew
(andrew@millwallrugby.com)
NB, we're also looking for a new O2 Touch Lead Coordinator.
New O2 Touch Lead Organiser Sought
We're looking for a new Lead Organiser for O2 Touch rugby at Millwall.
The main purpose of the role is
If you're interested, please contact the club committee by email (via chairman@millwalrugby.com).
We're also looking for new O2 Touch Rugby Ambassadors.
Regards
Andrew
The main purpose of the role is
- to organise a rota of organisers who will turn up with a ball and cones for each session and welcome new members (note, you don't actually need to actually be the session organiser, but it probably does help if you run a few sessions yourself)
- to liase with the RFU O2 Touch office from time to time.
If you're interested, please contact the club committee by email (via chairman@millwalrugby.com).
We're also looking for new O2 Touch Rugby Ambassadors.

Andrew

Tickets - Autumn Internationals and Rugby Championship
After a great 2016 for England (well in rugby at least!), it’s time to think about the Autumn Internationals. As ever the Club has access to tickets to the England internationals at Twickenham. As an added bonus, there will also be a Rugby Championship clash between Argentina and Australia at Twickenham this year.
We have unlimited tickets to the Fiji, Argentina (incl. England women vs Canada women) and the rugby championship game, along with a decent allocation to the other 2. The RFU have also changed the process this year so ticket prices vary by opposition and I will not be able to apply to the RFU for additional tickets in a similar manner to previous years (there is now a ticket exchange system with other clubs where we can buy/sell tickets at a premium, but this will be the first time it is used so I do not know how it will go).
Below are the details of the games and how to apply for tickets.
1. Argentina v Australia, 8th Oct 2016 (Priced at £80, £60, £40)
2. England v South Africa, 12th Nov 2016 (Priced at £86, £76, £66, £59, £41)
3. England v Fiji, 19th Nov 2016 (Priced at £50, £35, £25)
4. England v Argentina, 26th Nov 2016 (Priced at £78, £70, £63, £55, £48, £37)
5. England v Australia, 3rd Dec 2016 (Priced at £86, £76, £66, £59, £41)
As per the normal process, to apply for tickets please email the Club by the 9th July on
internationaltickets@millwallrugby.com with the following information:
- Which game(s) you would like to go to?
- How many tickets you would like? (For Aus and SA this will be limited to 2 per person if there is high demand)
- Your preferred price
- Whether you are a volunteer and what you do (For Aus and SA preference will be given to volunteers if there is high demand)
In addition to the cost of the ticket the Club will be charging an admin fee of £5 per tickets, payable at the time of purchase.
If your application is successful, you will receive an e-mail and a date by which tickets must be paid for. If you miss this date and do not contact me, the tickets will be reallocated. Over the past couple of seasons a number of members have requested tickets and then either have not paid or failed to reply to any further e-mails. This results in other members missing out and will result in members being black listed if no explaination is provided.
Good Luck and hope to see you all soon..

Shaf
