Tickets have been selling fast for the 2016 Annual Dinner with members old and new all attending Millwall Rugby Club’s biggest night of celebration. With just a few weeks left before the event, set to take place on Saturday 18 June at the Docklands Sailing and Watersports Centre, Millwall Rugby Club urges any members who have not yet done so to purchase one of the last few remaining tickets.

The evening is set to be a true celebration of the Millwall Rugby Club with coveted awards being presented to recognise this season's standout players and volunteers who underpin the Club. Categories include Most Improved, Best Newcomer, Players' Player of the Year, and Clubman of the Year.

A reminder about the AGM this Saturday.  Come down to the clubhouse and make sure your vote is heard or put your hat in the ring for a position. 
Club is open from 11am for registration, for a midday start.

Thirst Friday the 20th of May - Shoreditch

Its that time of year again where fridays can become sacred havens of sunny drinking and not having to worry about which bus you will need to take to get to the club on saturday, where your kit is or what your name is when boris phones you to ask where you are. 

Therefore search for some good park benches in stratford, preplan your kebab shop crawl home and try to put the carrot cars app in an easy to find place on your mobile. Its the return of thirst friday!!

This month's will be on the 20th of May owing to the sheer amount of other stuff we have going on. Its also the last one before AGM so make sure you get your candidate out there canvassing and make sure the media focuses on my relationship with people who have been cabbageaphobic or threatened to to throw all lego toys into the sea in order to vote me out of my role as social secretary at the elections the day after.

Since its shoreditch skinny jeans, questionable haircuts and James Newman are acceptable, but only just ...

14th of May EVENT: Shill & Grill: Eurovision Song Contest and BBQ

Details

Waterloo-ng time its been since last year's competition, and aren't we all looking forward to the spectacle of musical (maybe) brilliance (less likely) and talent (probably not) that is the Eurovision song contest.

We may be lacking the dulcic scornful tones of the late Terry Wogan but to make up for that and since it could possibly be sunny, the decision has been made to combine the fun and bizarre antics of Eurovision with the possibly more fun and substantially more bizarre antics of a Millwall Rugby Club BBQ.

Gr-abba burger and Conchita (Wurst!) for a fiver or one of either for 3 quid. Wash that down with a beverage of your choice* for example a Buck's Fizz (until we run out of J2O or prosecco). Then settle down for a night of amazement, disbelief and possible unusual interest in milkmaids from Poland or hard techno-baking russian grannies at the Shrill & Grill event.

*as long as it is available behind the bar.
