Dear Members
As part of the club's player recruitment drive we've printed up some flyers for you to take to work/gym/shops or to deliver in your street.
Next time you are at the bar, please take a pile of 50 or so from the box and do your best to deliver them or leave them somewhere you think they will be found of interest.
Please don't leave this task to a small few on the committee as with a little help from everyone we can get the word out there about Millwall and our open day on 1st August.

Cheers

Club meetings/help required this week
As we have quite a few meetings/help requests for this week, we thought it would be good to split these out from the weekly opening email.
Club Meetings/Attendance encouraged:
Tuesday - Club Management Committee (CMC) from 7.30pm
Every member is welcome to attend, please contact Karen beforehand on karen@millwallrugby.com. To find out more about these meetings, click HERE
Thursday - Open day organisation meeting from 8pm
This meeting is to discuss arrangements for our open day and who is doing what. Did you know we need circa 20-30 volunteers on the day to make this work seamlessly? Even if you can only spend an hour or two, then it would be appreciated and lighten the load. Let Jo know on ladieschair@millwallrugby.com if you are around to help. To find out more information and to join the event, click HERE
Club events/help required:
Friday - Clubhouse cleanup evening #1 from 7pm
In preparation for our open day (1st Aug) we need to
have a deep clean of the clubhouse. Did you know we need around
15 people to help in order to make this work? Even if you can only spend an hour or two, then it would be appreciated and lighten the load. The club bar will only be open for those who are helping on the night. Let Gareth know on gareth@millwallrugby.com if you are around to help. To find out more information and to join the event, click HEREUntil 1st Aug - Help with distributing open day flyers
We need help in getting the word out about our open day, and there are a number of ways this can be done.....
1) Handing out flyers
We've had lots of A5 flyers professionally printed advertising the event and we could really do with your help delivering a few in your street or building. Could you possibly take a pile to work to put by the till in your canteen, or on the tables, or at the reception in your gym? Perhaps there is a local shop who might be kind enough to take a pile from you.
The box of flyers is on the bar - just help yourself and let me know if we've run out!
Jo is also looking to organise a pub crawl (or 2 in the next few weeks) to get the word out - so email jo on ladieschair@millwallrugby.com if you are interested in visiting pubs.... ;-)
2) Share an e-copy
You can also download a PDF of the flyer here. Some people have staff social sections of their intranet/work social network and perhaps you could post the flyer on there for us?
3) Share on Facebook
You can also help, by clicking here and looking for the SHARE link just under the bottom of the photo and sharing it with your friends.
4) Share on twitter
You can also ReTweet our Tweet here.

Club Management Committee (CMC) meeting this Tuesday
Each month, the club's management committee meets and our next meeting is this Tuesday 14th July. The meeting starts at 7.30pm and usually lasts for a maximum of 2 hours in our clubhouse.
If you want to learn about the committee or stand next year, you are positively encouraged to attend at least one CMC meeting during the year.
Andrew
Communications Officer
What do we talk about?
We make decisions about the club's strategy, review the club's finances, and find solutions to issues that have arisen. We also ratify any recommendations that the various club subcommittees make, approving any expenditure or contracts if the subcommittee hasn't had sufficient authority to make the decision alone.
Question: Can I go? -(Answer: Yes)
All current club members are always welcome to attend and contribute to the decisions. All you have to do is contact Karen, our club secretary in advance of rocking up. Email her at secretary@millwallrugby.com. This is just so we can organise accordingly if we are expecting lots of people. If you want to learn about the committee or stand next year, you are positively encouraged to attend at least one CMC meeting during the year.
