Just a quick note to let you know what's going on this Wednesday in the clubhouse.....

This week Chef Shezza will be cooking up something suitably hearty for din dins. Get your orders in early to avoid disappointment.

There may also be a surprise "entertainment experience" happening this Wednesday…….. If you want to know what it is, you’ll have to come down to see it!!

This week we are also celebrating the following events that happened on this date in history.

Holidays:
Waitangi Day, celebrates the founding of New Zealand in 1840. - Mr Parkhill will expect to see you all celebrating!!!

Royal days in History:
1649 – The claimant King Charles II of England and Scotland is declared King of Great Britain, by the Parliament of Scotland. This move was not followed by the Parliament of England nor the Parliament of Ireland.

1952 – Elizabeth II becomes the first queen regnant of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth Realms since Queen Victoria upon the death of her father, George VI. At the exact moment of succession, she was in a treehouse at the Treetops Hotel in Kenya.
