Clubhouse openings this week - Weds (HHD/Curry Night), Fri & Sat

Weds 4th Sept - Hargreaves 'Hump-Day' & Curry night - Open from 7.30pm:
As training and the battle for team places hot’s up before the final squad training/selection day at Upper Clapton this weekend, it all to play for. Forget football’s transfer deadline day!! – this Wednesday is all about Millwall Team Selection Day.

Rumors are that Sophie Buckman is making approaches for those interested in the 2nd team will receive a transfer fee of a drink… what will the 1st and 3rd team managers offer to retain their players? – as the deadline approaches it’s all to play for….Come down to the clubhouse and watch all the last minute deals taking place, our resident Jeff Stelling (aka Flex) is sure to be down offering commentary.

We have also decided to keep the heat up by making the Wednesday curry night a regular event to spice things up after training and support our sponsors.

Gareth will take your orders (and cash) before 8.15pm and then phone them through to be delivered after training at 9pm. To keep it simple and keep costs/fuss down all dishes will come with saffron rice, you just have to answer 2 questions.....

  • How hot would you like your curry (Mild, Medium, Hot)?
  • What type of curry do you want (Chicken, Lamb or veggie)?
  • All this for just £7.50, paid in advance.

Fri 6th Sept – Adrienne's Weekend Warm-up – Open from 7.30pm:
Adrienne will be your companion to help you ease into the weekend this week, so pop down and see the weekend in in style.

Sat 7th Sept – Clubhouse Open from 5pm:
The men's playing squad are at Upper Clapton for their final squad training/selection day before the season starts the following week. For those who are not playing, why not pop down and offer your support, then come down to the clubhouse afterwards from 5pm and help Fisher get through all of the Skittle/Jaeger Bombs (drunk responsibly of course)

Changes for Sept:

  • The new bar prices are now in force – please bear in mind that we have resisted raising prices for over 4 years now – please don’t shout at the volunteers behind the bar ;-)
  • We have also introduced a minimum spend on cards of £5, due to increased transaction costs which we have to pay - so why not start a tab.
  • Also, a large number of memberships are due from 1st September, please help us by renewing your membership - you can pay behind the bar, via bank transfer or via paypal (all at no extra cost) - click on this link for more information.
