Daylight Training tomorrow evening! 7pm

With the 2s great win, we'll continue training tomorrow night and next week. As the evenings are lighter now,  if we are down for 7pm, we can get daylight until about 7.45pm and finish a bit early. We might even play some rugby cricket!

We'll do some fun stuff and a small amount of things relevant to the 2s game last Saturday. There is also training on Saturday, see James\Mylo for details. Next week, we'll have an RFU trainer down to take part

  • Rob the Den
  • Circle Dodge Ball
  • Wing scoring with Walking Mauls
  • Focus - Defensive Alignment
  • Rugby Cricket
Tomorrow night will be limited, to no, contact as the ground is hard and we want to avoid injuries

Thirst Thursday 9th of April

at 17:30
Next Week

Hubbub Cafe Bar & Restaurant
269 Westferry Road, Isle of Dogs, E14 3RS London, United Kingdom

Due to General Easter Revelry and the long weekend this month's Thirst Thursday has been moved to the 9th of April.

For all you islanders its a welcome break as we plan to head to the famous sunday breakfast haunt of the Hubbub cafe, where hopefully it will be sunny and warm enough to use their outside facilities. If not we can just squeeze upstairs and converse with the clientele, which seems to consist of hipsters and arty types.

Please therefore remember to bring a beret, skinny jeans, anything from the 1950s or your dads old work shirt to be worn backwards so you don't get paint on your clothes.

Facial hair can be sported but only "trendily" and if you can obtain it, the whole "Where's Wally" kit could be worn to take the piss.

N.B. Please refrain from balancing any bread related items on the clientele whilst they aren't looking or commenting on a ladies jewellery fashioned from rounded beads found inside certain shellfish. It has taken us months to drum up the courage to return after last time....

BUY A BRICK is here

Are you looking to do a little more for the Club?

If you would like to 'buy a brick' you will make a meaningful difference to our funding, at the same time as getting your name recognised!

As part of our 20th anniversary celebrations the 'BUY A BRICK' initiative is here...

You can now 'buy' a brick in the clubhouse - OK you aren't legally owning anything, but to the membership you will be one of the members/supporters who has stumped up when asked to.

Each brick costs £100 and to recognise your generous donation to the Millwall Rugby Club we will be putting up a shiny brass plaque on your very own brick.

You will be able to point to your named brass plaque with pride and know that you have helped out.

Simply fill out the below PayPal details with your name and a title to go with it - e.g. 'supporter' or perhaps 'first team player' .... (we will vet the titles as normal however humour is allowed...)

Countdown to Rugby World Cup - Open Day at Millwall Rugby Club - WE NEED HELPERS NEXT TUESDAY

Image result for RWC logoDate: Tues 17th March (Next Tues)
Time: 11am to 3pm
Venue: Millwall Park & Rugby Clubhouse

As you may or may not know our youth team have been working hard behind the scenes to set up the RWC Countdown to Rugby Open Day at Millwall Rugby Club which will take place on the 17th of March (next Tuesday).

So successful has the feedback been that there will be around 500 children attending. This will work out to be a great promotion for both Millwall Rugby Club, and Rugby Union in the Tower Hamlets area.

As you can imagine, 500 children will no doubt be a handful and as such any help you could provide on this day will be greatly appreciated.

We have a few volunteers, but WE NEED MORE.

Remember, a great deal of Canary Wharf and City employers allow their employees to take a day a year to help with community events.

The kids will be arriving from around 11.45am and will be running through the various training stations until 3.00pm so you will be required during this time. Ideally, we would like coaches to arrive around 45 minutes ahead of time to assist with the set up.

Volunteers would be leading or supporting taster sessions, helping organise kids and supporting the taster session rotations.

Should you be available on this day, please let us know.

If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
