Men's Tour 2016

Men of Millwall,

We will be embarking on a tour this season. The current plan is in its infancy, and goes along these lines:
  • To Revereto in Italy (our resident Italian's hometown)
  • 1st bank holiday weekend in May 2016, leave on the Friday and return on the Monday
  • Play in a tournament on the Saturday hosted by Lagaria rugby
  • Take in some Italian culture
At the moment we are getting together information on prices etc, but return flights are likely to be around £100, but we do not have any info for prices of the hostel yet.

We haven’t done a full on men’s tour for a few years, so it should be an excellent weekend.

We are putting together a contact list for people who are interested in tour, so if you are interested please email me on menschair@millwallrugby.com by 4th November to let me know and I will ensure that you get emails regarding tour information.

Thanks,

Boris

Essex County Cluster Meetings & Workshops

There will be two Essex Rugby Cluster Support Evenings, supported by RFU staff, to be held on the following dates:

  • Monday 2nd November at Campion School (Wingletyne Lane, Romford, RM11 3BX)
    7pm – 9pm (Facebook Event Here)
  • Wednesday 4th November at Boswells School (Burnham Rd, Chelmsford, CM1 6LY)
    7pm – 9pm (Facebook Event Here)

Following extremely positive feedback from the previous cluster support events in March, the evenings will follow the same structure with ‘market stalls’ starting at 7pm where attending clubs will have the opportunity to discuss their specific issues with CB and RFU staff.

From 7.45pm a series of interactive workshops (highlighted in red) will run simultaneously on topics derived from need from the local community game. The market stalls will continue until the close of the evening.

Attendance at the early market stalls is not compulsory if you wish to attend the workshop later in the evening.

The sessions are aimed at coaches, potential coaches, club committee members and other club volunteers. Any member of Millwall is welcome to attend.  Those clubs that attended in large numbers benefited most from the March events. Below is a summary of the evening with details of the market stalls and interactive workshops running (highlighted in red)

7pm – 7.45pm = Market Stalls for all club specific enquires, questions and queries (teas, coffees and biscuits provided)

7.45pm = Interactive workshops start (highlighted in red) & market stalls continue

9pm = Workshops finish & depart

There is no need to book in advance; just come along.

Llamas Training Tomorow

Millwallians,

The regular Llamas will be holding a Saturday training session. The idea is to meet at midday on the park. Runs some drills / touch and then come together with the 1s before their game to get them prepared and offer some pressure at the set piece and backs moves.

Everyone welcome, then we can all watch the 1s in the sun and have some beers before England squash the Wallabies.

See those who can make it 12pm tomorrow

Viva
