Clubhouse openings this week (w/c 20/1)

  

All, 

Following a tough week for the 3rd XV's and Venus, we have 3 games pencilled in this week so make sure you come down to training, make yourselves available for selection and come down to support (preferably all 3) ;   

 

1sts @ home to Thames (Millwall)

2nds @ home to Billericay (Hackney)

3rds away to Pegasus.
The club will also be open during the following times this week 

 

Wednesday - Hargreaves Hump Day - DM GH open from 7.30PM Gareth's will be there to help you get through the week and he will be helping you with a special offer of £2 for a pint of Guinness as well as ordering curry to arrive at 9pm for those of you who are interested. 

 

 

Friday - Weekend Warmup - DM RT - open from 7.30PM 

Come along this Friday, start your weekend off in style and support our newest trainee Duty Manager, Rose, from the Venus team. Adrienne will be assisting her on the bar as well. The weirder the drinks requests the better (think Del Boy and his cocktails from Only Fools & Horses)

 

 

 

Saturday - DM ES or GH (TBC) - open from 3PM until 11PM

Either Edna or Gareth will be your DM today and will be opening the clubhouse just before the end of the 1sts home game. Lets get back to winning ways and celebrate a clean sweep this weekend.

Going into 2014 we still have a low number of duty managers available to open/close the clubhouse especially on Fridays/Saturdays. Following the 3rd XV's deserved victory over Ilford on Saturday, we have 3 away games pencilled in this week;   

1sts - Break week
2nds - Away @ Thurrock (2.15pm KO)
3rds - Home to Burnham (Millwall Park 2pm KO)

Venus - Away @ Stanford le Hope (Sunday 2pm KO)

The club will be open during the following times this week 

Wednesday - Hargreaves Hump Day - DM GH open from 7.30PM 
Gareth's will be there tohelp you celebrate meeting the halfway point for those of you doing dry January. There will also be curry ordered to arrive at 9pm for those of you who are interested. 

Friday - Weekend Warmup - DM TBC - open from 7.30PM 
Adrienne will be opening this Friday to ease you into the weekend! 

Saturday - DM KA - open from 3PM until 11PM

Karen will be your DM today and will be opening the clubhouse just before the end of the 3rds home game. One of our members (and bar volunteer), Kate, will be celebrating her birthday on Saturday so pop down and give her 'the bumps' - or just buy her a drink?

Calling all Millwall supporters - your club needs you this weekend

This weekend sees the 1st XV travel to local rivals May & Baker for a top of the table clash in Essex 2.

By far this will be the most difficult match the team have faced this season to date.  May & Baker are unbeaten since their defeat at Millwall Park in early October and still in the RFU Vase, moreover they  haven't conceded a try since they played Millwall.

So, on behalf of the team, we ask everyone connected to Millwall to come and support the guys as they continue their push for promotion.  Your support could make the difference.

1sts - Away @ May & Baker
2nds - Away @ Wanstead
3rds - Away @ Ilford
 

The club will be open during the following times this week;

Yes, you read right, you get the pleasure of Gareth as your DM twice this week. Due to the fact that we are not planning to have any home games this weekend, the clubhouse will not open until 5pm.  

Venus girls - Ms Rose Twist has very kindly offered to train up as bar staff/DM - so get down early and place your orders for all manner of weird and wonderful drinks to test her mettle!! ;-)

Following the 1st XV's deserved victory over Writtle yesterday, it has been decided to train on Monday & Wednesday this week.

Monday's session will be a recovery session with no contact element.

This course is designed for players and coaches to improve scrummaging, covering physical preparation, body management and body shape for individuals and collectively. Its also a required CPD for Level 2 coaching.

Clubhouse openings this week - w/c 30/12

  
New Years Eve - Wed 31st Dec to 1st Jan early hours - DM SMc - Open from 9pm
We hope you all had a good break and what better way to see in the new year at the clubhouse - no queues, no door charge, great company, great music (courtesy of DJ Stu), cheap drinks and  a late licence!! 

It's so popular, 'Cheese' and Emma-Louise have flown over all the way from New Zealand for the social event of the year. So make the effort, come on down, dress to impress and see you there.

And then when you saunter/stagger home in the early hours you can get all excited in anticipation of turning your Millwall Calendar over to the first page (still around 10-15 copies left).



Sat 4th Jan - DM RK (planning to open from 4pm if home games are confirmed) Ryan will be opening the clubhouse so we can all come down and watch the 2nds start their new year campaign off at home. Please note that if there are no home games the clubhouse will NOT be opening - so make sure you keep checking facebook for updates as to whether the club is open/closed
