Clubhouse opening & key dates (w/c 14/7)
Firstly, a big thank you for everyone who came down on Saturday and helped with the install of the new kitchen. We have a few little finishing touches to complete it, but it is 90% there. A big thank you to Cuddles and Struann for their plumbing and electrical skills which proved invaluable on the day.
Club Openings:
Saturday - CLUBHOUSE CLOSED
Following on previous posts, we have a Mens and
Ladies team entered for the Find Rugby Now 7s Tournament being held at
Ilford Wanderers RFC pitches in Essex.
We are looking at making a day of it followed by a few beers back at the club after the tournament so the more numbers we have the better it will be, and we may even be able to organise a coach to get there and back if there is enough interest.
Please let Ed know if you are coming by emailing him at socialsecretary@millwallrugby.com and buy your event tickets (link below) as soon as possible so we can have a look at transport options and prices.
There is also a £200 bar tab up for grabs for the club with the most supporters who buy tickets through the following link or code SM14, make sure you put Millwall RFC as the team name in the form.

Saturday - CLUBHOUSE CLOSED
Due to absence of events, duty managers and demand - we have took the decision to close the clubhouse his Saturday (to give everyone of the duty manager and bar staff volunteers a much needed and deserved break).
We are looking for more bar staff to be trained up - if you are interested please let Gareth know by sending him an email at gareth@millwallrugby.com and he will schedule in a session with one of the duty managers to train you up.
Remember all bar staff are unpaid volunteers and we need them to keep the clubhouse open. The more we have, the easier the load for everyone.

Quick note, we have about 40 pints of Guinness we need to get rid of tonight - so we are selling it off at the steal of £1 a pint!!
Get down early to secure your Guinness!!
REMINDER - Kitchen Fit out day starts tomorrow (Sat 12th) from 10am
All,
Just a quick note to remind you all that we are hoping to fit the new stainless steel kitchen at the club tomorrow.
We are looking for volunteers to help out - the more we have, the quicker we can fit it and then we can sit back and admire our work with an ice cold beer/hooch!!
Remember - the clubhouse will be CLOSED to non-volunteers so we can concentrate on getting the kitchen fitted so this will be your only opportunity to help out and get beers ;-)

Key Dates for your diary
Sat 26/7/14 - FRN tournament - Supporters required
We have a mens and
ladies team in the FRN tournament and as it's only in Ilford, It
would be great to get as many members of the club as possible to go
along and support.
Not only for the teams taking part, but also because it's our very own Elaine and Mike who run these events.
Supporter tickets cost just £20 and looks
like it will be worth every penny with not only a lot of rugby going
on, but a festival to boot! So please pass on the message to everyone
who may be interested and encourage them to get their friends and family
to come along.
If there is enough demand we will look to organise a club trip for this - event to follow shortly.
