Wednesday 22nd May
We are celebrating the following events which happened this day in history.
- 1840 – The transportation of British convicts to the New South Wales colony is abolished
- 1897 – The Blackwall Tunnel under the River Thames is officially opened
- 1987 – First ever Rugby World Cup kicks off with New Zealand playing Italy at Eden Park, Auckland.
And as usual, Chef Shezza will be cooking Slow Roast Pulled Pork for din dins this week, so place your orders early with him. See you down there!!
Due to the fact that it is a Bank Holiday Weekend and quite a few people are away celebrating the upcoming wedding of Sean & Gilda, we are NOT opening the club on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday this coming weekend. Normal service will be resumed next Wednesday (29th May).
I'm sure you will join me in wishing Gilda and Sean a great wedding and all the best for the future.
