Clubhouse RWC plans, openings, training and games (w/c 14/9)

Rugby World Cup Openings:

It's finally here, and we are pleased to announce that the club will be open for ALL of the rugby world cup games (a big thank you to all the volunteer duty managers and bar staff for helping during this busy time). Keep an eye out for special drinks offers during games.

Training & Touch:

• Training is 7pm for a 7.30pm start until 9pm on Mondays and Wednesdays
• Our special Return to Rugby programme starts this Wednesday also at 7 for 7.30pm start (www.returntorugby.com)
• Touch Rugby is at 12.30pm to 2.30pm on Sundays

 
Games:

• 1st XV - At home to Stanford le Hope 1st XV
• 2nd XV - Away to Braintree 2nd XV
• 3rd XV - Away to Maldon 3rd XV
• Venus - At home to Haringay (Sunday)
  

Club Openings: 
Monday - Open from 7pm to 11pm
Paul & Ed will be looking after you this Monday. Come down to training and have a few drinks afterwards.

Wednesday - Open from 7pm to 11pm
Gareth will be looking after you this Wednesday. Come down to training and have a few drinks afterwards.


Friday - Open from 7pm to 11pm
Robin will be opening the club for the opening game of the Rugby World Cup (England v Fiji - 8pm KO). The build up is due to start at 7.25pm on TV.

Saturday - Open from 11am to 11pm
Scott Mayo and Ryan will be opening/closing the club on Saturday (they are deciding who is taking the early and late shift). They will be showing all 4 Rugby World Cup games today as well as welcoming the teams back from their first league games to the clubhouse.

Sunday - Open from 11am to 7pm
Fisher and Kate will be opening/closing the club on Sunday. They will be showing all 3 Rugby World Cup games today as well as welcoming Venus back from their second league game to the clubhouse.

Clubhouse openings, training & games (w/c 19/1)

Training:
We are trialling mixed fitness/skills (non-contact) training on Mondays in the New Year with Wednesdays continuing to be full contact male and female training. There were good numbers for both days last week, lets keep that momentum up and make the numbers great!!

Games:   
Here are the games scheduled for this coming weekend (as at time of writing). 

• Millwall 1st XV - Dagenham @ Home on Millwall Park
• Millwall Llamas - Away @ Thames
• Millwall 3rd XV - No game planned as yet - Reserve week
• Millwall Venus - No game planned as yet - Reserve week

Please ensure you let us know your availability ASAP so it makes our selection meeting on Wednesday easier. Please email selection@millwallrugby.com with your availability.

Club Openings/Meetings: 
Monday - Open from 7pm    Fisher will be opening the club on Monday before training starts at 7pm so you can use the club to change etc. and Ed will be there to serve you after the training session as well.

Hargreaves 'HumpDay' (aka Wednesday) - Open from 7pm    Gareth will be looking after you this week. So make sure you come down to the clubhouse and celebrate reaching the mid-point of the week and refreshing yourselves after the contact training session.

Saturday - Open from 3.30pm
With 1 home game this week Lucie will be opening the club from 3.30pm to welcome all the teams back this Saturday, so come down as well and show your support.

HELP YOUR CLUB - RFU Grand Draw - Raffle tickets now on sale behind the bar
As you may be aware, the RFU has a grand draw with some great prizes - see list here. You can buy tickets behind the bar for £1 each or a books of 5 tickets for £5 each to be in with a chance of winning. We had someone in the club win 4th prize 2yrs ago so it does happen.

What is even better, is that it is a great way to support and raise funds for your club - with 90% of the ticket price going to the club.

If you are able to take a few books and sell them at your workplace or to friends and family that would be even better. Please speak to Karen or email her on karen@millwallrugby.com for more information. We can also give you the books from behind the bar.

We are also looking at ways of selling these on our website to make it even easier for those of us who live away from the club to participate - keep an eye out for a note letting you know about this.
